monkey crossing

Every day I am astonished by birds - on my small back deck I can see or hear Eagles, Ravens, Robins, Northern Flickers, Varied Thrushes, Owls and more... if I scoot to the end of my road, an ever changing company of seabirds await. Often they will leave their feathers for me to discover - treasures that find their way into sketches and even full scale paintings. I think of this as one of the many magic gifts I have gained since I moved out of the city to my tiny town, and I doubt if I could ever give it up. Lucky you and Pedro, to love them too!

I'll try to get out next year, what an amazing thing to do!

Haha oops, of course the comment was supposed to go on the previous post - we don't have monkey crossings, but we do have Painted Turtle roadsigns which I find amusing.

The Big Day is such a wonderful thing— bringing people together from all over the world, just for the birds! Your town sounds lovely, Sheryl. Are there really Painted Turtle signs? How marvellous!

The next post will show off some of those monkeys...
